Tell Me About Keith Clizark?

I’m a Multi Platinum Producer and also CEO at Team Mashn Ent. I hale from the east side of Long Beach. I caught the music bug early in life. I remember the first time my Mother played “Flash Light” by Parliament Funkadelic, it was then that I knew I was destined to be a music producer and along that journey I picked up the art of DJ’ing which transcended into music production. I made my first record at 17 years old and had my first major label placement when I was 19 years old. I’ve produced records for Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Def Jam, Too Short, Master P, Kurupt, Mystical, Tha Eastsidaz. T.R.U. and many others, and my music featured in such motion pictures and television channels such as BET, MTV, VH1, BROVO, E!, CARTOON NETWORK, HGTV. I also set my sights on directing, I have 6 major video’s under my belt.

Where are you from?

I was born in Greenville Mississippi but my mom’s moved to Long beach Cali when I was 4 years old.

Describe the style of music you produce?

Big orchestrated tracks with melody and soul!

Are you currently working with any majors? 

No, been there done that already, I’m having more fun and making more money creating new Stars.

Why would a artists come to you to get production? 

Beyond being a multi Platinum producer, artist come to me for something that’s different but has beat!!!

Your upcoming project “Kush Talk”, how will this be a platform to the industry? 

I have the same deal Universal Music Group have with INgrooves Fontana.  My company Team Mashn Ent. currently home to over 50 record labels. Every quarter I put out a compilation project featuring the top selling artists. The Kush Talk series was created to further brand and promote the artist that have singles or albums coming out.

What else do you do outside of music?

Wow that’s a loaded question, I have my hands on so much right now, one of my side ventures is designing and producing Sample Libraries for Big Fish Audio, I’ve had the #1 selling sample CD on the planet for the last 3 years called Platinum Essentials 1,2 and 3. I also have a direct distribution deal with INgrooves Fontana for Digital and physical distribution of music, video, film/DVD, e-books and e-magazines, now this is where the real money is. I run into so many Artist and content creators that didn’t have any outlets to get there creation to the world market It was a natural progression for me to obtain major distribution to supply that out let.

What should people expect from your upcoming projects?

Off top Kush Talk was design is for Weed smokers and people that like to vibe out, Kush Talk is smooth enough to Ride to but not so Hard that the females cant vibe to it,

What artists are you listening to right now? 

Got Damn, Sean Conners, School Boy Q, Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, Blak Laz. I’m dig’n the new breed of mc’s they’re bringing real concepts and lyrics back to the game.

Is there anything you would like our readers to know? 

I’m in pre production on my first feature film called OPERATION: Green day. It’s a cross between Pulp Fiction and Friday that’s all I can say right now. I’m really into Directing right now.

Yeah, I got one. I was directing a video in Dallas Tx for an artist name Kay Dee and the guy who sang the hook insisted on wearing a FUBU sweater, you no the one that have Fat Albert on the front of it…. this is 2012 ” where they do that at”.
